# Sign Documents vs Add Text to PDF

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sign Documents at weekly against Add Text to PDF's every 5 months. Sign Documents also leads on ratings volume (159 vs 4). Add Text to PDF's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sign Documents sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Add Text to PDF sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
