# SitzProbe vs FocalRead

The clearest difference is rating: SitzProbe at 5.0 against FocalRead's 4.6. FocalRead's advantage is ratings volume (98 vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SitzProbe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and FocalRead sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SitzProbe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocalRead has 98 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SitzProbe ships an update every 3 weeks, FocalRead every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
