# Bible Chat vs Record Lectures

Bible Chat and Record Lectures both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Bible Chat's written reviews are positive against 61% of Record Lectures's. Bible Chat also leads on ads (none vs shown). Record Lectures's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (167 vs 5). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Record Lectures sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Bible Chat against 4.5 for Record Lectures. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Record Lectures has 167 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Bible Chat's written reviews are positive against 61% of Record Lectures's.

Bible Chat ships an update monthly, Record Lectures weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
