# Bitblockerx Shield vs Loft

The clearest difference is ads: Bitblockerx Shield at none against Loft's shown. Loft's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bitblockerx Shield sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Loft sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bitblockerx Shield ships an update every 5 months, Loft every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
