# ELD DESIRED vs Apex Ultima

The clearest difference is update cadence: Apex Ultima at monthly against ELD DESIRED's every 19 months. Apex Ultima also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 50%) and ratings volume (97 vs 5). ELD DESIRED's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ELD DESIRED holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apex Ultima has 97 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ELD DESIRED's written reviews are positive against 71% of Apex Ultima's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ELD DESIRED ships an update every 19 months, Apex Ultima monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
