# Over Time vs 5DEG

The clearest difference is update cadence: 5DEG at every 5 months against Over Time's every 13 months. Over Time's advantage is iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Over Time ships an update every 13 months, 5DEG every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
