# BioTechShala vs Acadex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Acadex at every 2 weeks against BioTechShala's every 10 months. BioTechShala's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BioTechShala sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Acadex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BioTechShala ships an update every 10 months, Acadex every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
