# VIHail vs SKNCabs

The clearest difference is rating: SKNCabs at 4.0 against VIHail's 3.3. SKNCabs also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.6). VIHail's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SKNCabs holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIHail has 56 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of VIHail's written reviews are positive against 50% of SKNCabs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VIHail ships an update every 8 months, SKNCabs monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
