# Breakly vs FocusFlight

The clearest difference is monetization model: Breakly at freemium against FocusFlight's subscription. FocusFlight's advantage is ratings volume (9.4K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Breakly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 3 months and FocusFlight sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Breakly against 4.9 for FocusFlight. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusFlight has 9.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Breakly's written reviews are positive against 89% of FocusFlight's.

Breakly ships an update fortnightly, FocusFlight every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
