# Cruise Ship Tracker vs Port Pal Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Cruise Ship Tracker at 4.4 against Port Pal Pro's 1.0. Cruise Ship Tracker also leads on ratings volume (363 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.2 vs 27.0). Port Pal Pro's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (80% vs 50%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cruise Ship Tracker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Port Pal Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cruise Ship Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cruise Ship Tracker has 363 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Cruise Ship Tracker's written reviews are positive against 80% of Port Pal Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cruise Ship Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Port Pal Pro every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
