# Local Video vs D

The clearest difference is ads: Local Video at none against D's shown. Local Video also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Local Video sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and D sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Local Video ships an update fortnightly, D every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
