# FeatherSnapCam vs Maxcam Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: Maxcam Connect at every 5 days against FeatherSnapCam's every 2 months. FeatherSnapCam's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Maxcam Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FeatherSnapCam has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FeatherSnapCam ships an update every 2 months, Maxcam Connect every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
