# Lok App vs ChatEgg

The clearest difference is rating: Lok App at 5.0 against ChatEgg's 3.6. Lok App also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). ChatEgg's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatEgg sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Lok App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lok App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatEgg has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lok App ships an update every 2 months, ChatEgg every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
