# FearPix vs BeaconTV

The clearest difference is rating: FearPix at 5.0 against BeaconTV's 3.9. FearPix also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). BeaconTV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FearPix sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BeaconTV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FearPix holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 26 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of FearPix's written reviews are positive against 50% of BeaconTV's.

FearPix ships an update monthly, BeaconTV every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
