# GPS vs Beacons

The clearest difference is update cadence: Beacons at every 2 days against GPS's every 2 weeks. GPS's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Beacons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GPS ships an update every 2 weeks, Beacons every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
