# Shopwit vs Rescope

The clearest difference is monetization model: Shopwit at free against Rescope's free with in-app purchases. Shopwit also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and device support (3 vs 1). Rescope's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Shopwit against 5.0 for Rescope. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rescope has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shopwit ships an update weekly, Rescope monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
