# Haven vs Pray First

The clearest difference is ads: Haven at none against Pray First's shown. Haven also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (150K vs 25). Pray First's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs paid). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Haven sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Pray First sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Haven against 4.8 for Pray First. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Haven has 150K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Haven ships an update every 2 days, Pray First fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
