# Raycast vs Left

Raycast and Left both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Left's written reviews are positive against 54% of Raycast's. Left also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). Raycast's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs paid) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raycast sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Left sells 28 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Raycast against 4.6 for Left. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 253 and 472 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Raycast's written reviews are positive against 73% of Left's.

Raycast ships an update every 11 days, Left every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
