# Raycast vs Markdown to PDF

Raycast and Markdown to PDF both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Markdown to PDF's written reviews are positive against 54% of Raycast's. Markdown to PDF also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). Raycast's advantage is ratings volume (253 vs 9). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raycast sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Markdown to PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Raycast against 4.4 for Markdown to PDF. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raycast has 253 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Raycast's written reviews are positive against 83% of Markdown to PDF's.

Raycast ships an update every 11 days, Markdown to PDF every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
