# MangaBoxs vs ReadManga

The clearest difference is rating: ReadManga at 4.3 against MangaBoxs's 3.3. ReadManga also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 56%) and ratings volume (154 vs 20). MangaBoxs's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MangaBoxs sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ReadManga sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.89 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReadManga holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ReadManga has 154 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of MangaBoxs's written reviews are positive against 80% of ReadManga's.

MangaBoxs ships an update every 3 weeks, ReadManga every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
