# Schedule Task vs Trace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Schedule Task at none against Trace's 1. Schedule Task also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Trace's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Schedule Task asks for nothing beyond the download.

Schedule Task ships an update every 3 months, Trace every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
