# Bookdot vs BookVault

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bookdot at 67 against BookVault's 1. Bookdot also leads on device support (3 vs 1). BookVault's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookdot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and BookVault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BookVault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookdot has 67 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bookdot ships an update weekly, BookVault every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
