# Bee VPN vs Scanbox

The clearest difference is ads: Bee VPN at none against Scanbox's shown. Scanbox's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bee VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and Scanbox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bee VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, Scanbox every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
