# ShineShort vs ComicMax

The clearest difference is update cadence: ComicMax at every 3 weeks against ShineShort's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShineShort sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and ComicMax sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShineShort ships an update every 4 months, ComicMax every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
