# Fortune vs Grimoire

The clearest difference is update cadence: Grimoire at every 10 days against Fortune's every 17 months. Fortune's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fortune sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Grimoire sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fortune ships an update every 17 months, Grimoire every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
