# Trace vs DailyHack

The clearest difference is rating: DailyHack at 4.7 against Trace's 4.2. DailyHack also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 77%) and ratings volume (106 vs 18). Trace's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and DailyHack sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DailyHack holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DailyHack has 106 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Trace's written reviews are positive against 93% of DailyHack's.

Trace ships an update every 2 days, DailyHack every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
