# Productivity Tools vs Excelsior

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Excelsior at 100% against Productivity Tools's 50%. Excelsior also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Productivity Tools's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Productivity Tools sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Excelsior sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Excelsior holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 2 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Productivity Tools's written reviews are positive against 100% of Excelsior's.

Productivity Tools ships an update fortnightly, Excelsior every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
