# Countdown Widget vs Project

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown Widget at none against Project's shown. Countdown Widget also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Project's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Project sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Widget ships an update monthly, Project every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
