# NEC Journeyman Electrician vs Fire Code Mastery

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fire Code Mastery at every 5 days against NEC Journeyman Electrician's fortnightly. NEC Journeyman Electrician's advantage is ratings volume (134 vs 18). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NEC Journeyman Electrician sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Fire Code Mastery sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for NEC Journeyman Electrician against 4.6 for Fire Code Mastery. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NEC Journeyman Electrician has 134 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

NEC Journeyman Electrician ships an update fortnightly, Fire Code Mastery every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
