# Truthly vs CHATechism

The clearest difference is ads: Truthly at none against CHATechism's shown. Truthly also leads on ratings volume (6.5K vs 15) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). CHATechism's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Truthly sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and CHATechism sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Truthly against 5.0 for CHATechism. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Truthly has 6.5K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Truthly's written reviews are positive against 100% of CHATechism's.

Truthly ships an update weekly, CHATechism fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
