# Timesheet vs Timely

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timely at free with in-app purchases against Timesheet's subscription. Timely also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 58%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Timesheet's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timesheet sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Timely sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timely holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 104 and 135 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Timesheet's written reviews are positive against 88% of Timely's.

Timesheet ships an update weekly, Timely fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
