# Focus Lock vs Node

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Node at none against Focus Lock's 2. Node also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). Focus Lock's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Lock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Node asks for nothing beyond the download.

Focus Lock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Node has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Focus Lock ships an update every 5 days, Node every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
