# SANDISK vs Field Area

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SANDISK at none against Field Area's 1. SANDISK also leads on ratings volume (24K vs 1) and chart position (#128 vs unranked). Field Area's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Field Area sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SANDISK asks for nothing beyond the download.

Field Area holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SANDISK has 24K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SANDISK ships an update every 3 weeks, Field Area weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
