# TimeByte vs Vellum

The clearest difference is update cadence: Vellum at weekly against TimeByte's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeByte sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Vellum sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeByte ships an update every 2 months, Vellum weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
