# Word Editor vs PDFify

The clearest difference is monetization model: PDFify at free with in-app purchases against Word Editor's subscription. Word Editor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (22% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and PDFify sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Editor ships an update every 3 weeks, PDFify fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
