# My Diary vs Nightink

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nightink at 100% against My Diary's 53%. Nightink also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and ads (none vs shown). My Diary's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Diary sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Nightink sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nightink holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Diary has 59 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of My Diary's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nightink's.

My Diary ships an update every 3 weeks, Nightink every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
