# Heylixir vs Zenimal Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: Heylixir at every 2 weeks against Zenimal Connect's every 3 months. Zenimal Connect's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Heylixir sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Zenimal Connect sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Heylixir against 5.0 for Zenimal Connect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zenimal Connect has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Heylixir ships an update every 2 weeks, Zenimal Connect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
