# Watermelon+ vs PREVO

The clearest difference is monetization model: PREVO at free with in-app purchases against Watermelon+'s subscription. PREVO also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Watermelon+'s advantage is ratings volume (173 vs 6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watermelon+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and PREVO sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Watermelon+ against 5.0 for PREVO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watermelon+ has 173 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Watermelon+ ships an update every 2 months, PREVO monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
