# Direct Message vs WA Chat

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Direct Message at 12.0 against WA Chat's 15.1. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Direct Message sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and WA Chat sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
