# Certificate Maker vs Stet

The clearest difference is rating: Stet at 5.0 against Certificate Maker's 4.5. Stet also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 12 months). Certificate Maker's advantage is ratings volume (67 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Certificate Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Stet sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Certificate Maker has 67 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Certificate Maker ships an update every 12 months, Stet weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
