# The GLD Shop vs Techsnap

The clearest difference is ratings volume: The GLD Shop at 9.2K against Techsnap's 19. Techsnap's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for The GLD Shop against 5.0 for Techsnap. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The GLD Shop has 9.2K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of The GLD Shop's written reviews are positive against 100% of Techsnap's.

The GLD Shop ships an update monthly, Techsnap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
