# Timber Squad vs Scratch Inc.

The clearest difference is rating: Scratch Inc. at 4.7 against Timber Squad's 3.0. Scratch Inc. also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timber Squad sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Scratch Inc. sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scratch Inc. holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scratch Inc. has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Timber Squad's written reviews are positive against 93% of Scratch Inc.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timber Squad ships an update every 3 weeks, Scratch Inc. every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
