# 21 Letters vs Ballpins

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 21 Letters at 82% against Ballpins's 0%. 21 Letters also leads on ratings volume (64 vs 2). Ballpins's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 21 Letters sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Ballpins asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ballpins holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 21 Letters has 64 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of 21 Letters's written reviews are positive against 0% of Ballpins's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
