# ta闻 vs 幽光

The clearest difference is rating: 幽光 at 4.1 against ta闻's 2.0. 幽光 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ta闻 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and 幽光 sells 36 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

幽光 holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 幽光 has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ta闻 ships an update every 2 weeks, 幽光 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
