# Pedometer vs Stride

The clearest difference is ads: Stride at none against Pedometer's shown. Stride also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pedometer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Stride sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pedometer ships an update every 6 months, Stride every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
