# Extrack vs StemScriber

The clearest difference is rating: StemScriber at 5.0 against Extrack's 3.8. StemScriber also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Extrack's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Extrack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and StemScriber sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StemScriber holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Extrack has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Extrack ships an update every 6 weeks, StemScriber weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
