# Extrack vs Restrings

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Restrings at 100% against Extrack's 36%. Restrings also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 weeks). Extrack's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (31 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Extrack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Restrings sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Restrings holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Extrack has 31 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Extrack's written reviews are positive against 100% of Restrings's.

Extrack ships an update every 6 weeks, Restrings every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
