# Extrack vs GuitarTech

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GuitarTech at 100% against Extrack's 37%. GuitarTech also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). Extrack's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Extrack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and GuitarTech sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GuitarTech holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Extrack has 29 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of Extrack's written reviews are positive against 100% of GuitarTech's.

Extrack ships an update every 6 weeks, GuitarTech every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
