# TwinMind vs Second Brain

The clearest difference is monetization model: TwinMind at free against Second Brain's freemium. TwinMind also leads on ratings volume (872 vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Second Brain's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TwinMind sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Second Brain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TwinMind holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TwinMind has 872 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of TwinMind's written reviews are positive against 100% of Second Brain's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TwinMind ships an update weekly, Second Brain every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
