# Digits vs Clackboard

The clearest difference is ads: Clackboard at none against Digits's shown. Clackboard also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). Digits's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digits sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Clackboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digits ships an update every 7 months, Clackboard every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
